Customisable Cradle Systems to Suit Every Project

Our cradle systems are made up of modular components including deck units, guardrails, winches, and suspension rigs. These elements can be configured to meet a wide variety of access needs, with platform lengths ranging from 1 to 15 metres.

For more complex or specialist requirements, we offer fully bespoke suspended cradle solutions. These can be engineered to navigate corners, operate at angles, or access confined spaces such as chimneys and shafts.

Apollo cradles use a selection of suspend access cradles from world leading supplier such as Altrex, Skyclimber and Sky man.

We offer a wide range of hoist from standard power hoist to manual and air hoists, Apollo have over 500 winches in stock so we have you covered for any solution.

Our superior suspension rigs offer greater distance in projections and a more versatile solutions for restricted access, our suspension rig systems are that good even our competitors use them.

To discuss your specific project needs, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team.

Standard Suspended Cradles

Apollo Cradles specialises in delivering temporary access cradle solutions that are versatile, safe, and cost-effective—engineered to perform across a wide range of structures and environments. Whether you’re maintaining façades or working on offshore installations, our cradles provide reliable access where other methods may fall short. Our standard suspended access cradles can range from 1m to 15m in length and are quick and safe to install, these can also be fitted with end and walkthrough stirrups. Standard cradle are a fast , safe efficient way of gaining access to high rise buildings with cradles often only taking 1 day to install regardless of the height.

Double Stacked Cradles

These cradle systems are designed to provide safe and efficient access across two working levels within the same operational area. They can be configured to accommodate different working heights, making them ideal for complex façade works, multi-tiered inspections, and refurbishment projects. The upper cradle typically serves as the main platform, housing the drive motors and primary controls. The lower cradle functions as the slave unit, suspended beneath the main deck. Operatives can move between decks via internal ladders, which are protected by safety barriers to prevent falls during transitions at height. The system is designed for two-person operation, but depending on the platform length and Safe Working Load (SWL), it can safely accommodate up to 4–6 operatives.

  • Winch Options: Operated by manual, electrical (110V, 240V, 415V), these are generally 800kg – 1000kg

  • Installation Versatility: Typically roof-mounted and suspended by 2 suspension rigs, These types of rigs are the same suspension rigs for our standard cradles, but our team can adapt with alternative installation techniques when access is restricted.

  • Platform Sizes: Various platforms sizes can be configured using 0.5m – 3.0m sections. please contact Apollo cradles so we can assist with your requirements.

U-Shape and Corner Cradles

These cradle are designed to provide access around corners and protrusion from the main façade, Apollo cradles can offer access cradles that allow for standard 90 degree corners or where the corner protrusion are not so simple can offer a range of angles from 20 to 90 degrees. To make these systems more stable they are generally configured using 3 winches.

  • Winch Options: Operated by manual, electrical (110V, 240V, 415V), or pneumatic drives to suit site-specific requirements.

Suspended Platforms for Safe Elevated Work

What is a cradle?

Suspended cradles—also called access platforms—are secure, cable-hung work areas raised and lowered by powered winches, ideal for maintenance, cleaning, inspection, and installation on both interior and exterior building surfaces.

Modular

Modular design configurable from 1 to 15 metres to suit various applications.

Power systems

Cradles are powered by Alpha or Compact Hoists, chosen by load needs, with built-in fail-safes and a Sky Lock secondary safety system.
