Health & Safety

At the core of our operations is a firm commitment to health and safety. We believe every client and team member deserves a safe working environment, and we are dedicated to minimising risks across all aspects of our work—particularly when working at height.

Our employees and management collaborate closely to ensure that health and safety risks are proactively identified and effectively managed. This shared responsibility is something we take great pride in.

As a recognised leader in our field, we are proud to be an active member of SAEMA (Specialist Access Engineering and Maintenance Association). Our expertise has contributed to national standards, including participation on BSI (British Standards Institution) committees during the revision of BS5974—the Code of Practice for the planning, design, installation, and use of temporary suspended access equipment.

Additionally, we’ve played a key role in developing the new NVQ qualification for temporary access cradle riggers, helping to set industry benchmarks and support the next generation of professionals.

Apollo also are active members of the IPAF UK & Ireland Mast climber & hoist working group. This dedication to IPAF has been applied to the the BS7981(Code of practice for the Installation, maintenance, thorough examination & safe use of mast climbing work platforms) committee (MHE12.8.2) with Darren Brady taking an active role in the latest revision of the document.

IPAF Rental + standard has also been achieved by Apollo as a mark of continued high standards within the industry.
