Cotton Wharf, Manchester

Project

Apollo Cradles were appointed to deliver the suspended access package for the removal of high-level cladding across multiple buildings at Cotton Wharf, Manchester.

Following a detailed access strategy review, the client identified cradles as the most efficient and least disruptive solution—eliminating the need for full-height scaffolding or mast climbers around the occupied buildings

Suspended access cradles were deployed across all elevations of three residential blocks Several areas of the buildings presented access challenges due to lower-level roof obstructions. To overcome these, Apollo installed push-out decks on selected cradles, allowing safe and efficient reach over complex rooflines.

The buildings remained fully occupied throughout the duration of the works. Apollo’s proactive planning and tenant-sensitive approach ensured minimal disruption to residents and visitors.

Client Scope Of Works

The client required full access to all elevations on the top floor to remove and replace cladding and fire barriers. Works needed to be completed with minimal disruption to existing tenants and visitors throughout the project duration.
