Hotel Project, London

Project

Apollo Cradles was appointed to deliver the suspended access package for full external cladding replacement at a major hotel located adjacent to a key UK transport hub. The property remained fully operational throughout the project, requiring a discreet and highly coordinated approach to access and delivery.

Following a detailed access strategy review, the client identified suspended cradles as the most efficient and least disruptive solution—eliminating the need for full-height scaffolding or mast climbers around the active hotel perimeter. Apollo deployed suspended access cradles across all elevations, enabling safe and systematic reach to all cladding zones while preserving guest experience and operational continuity.

Several areas of the building presented access challenges due to lower-level roof obstructions and service infrastructure. While suspended access cradles successfully managed the majority of these locations, one particularly complex elevation required an alternative solution. Apollo’s mastclimber division supported the project by delivering and installing a twin mastclimber system, providing safe and efficient access to the more awkward façade zone. This integration was seamless, thanks to coordinated planning between departments and pre-approved logistics. Apollo’s proactive, guest-sensitive approach ensured minimal disruption to hotel staff, visitors, and operational flow throughout the duration of the works.

Client Scope Of Works

The client required full access to all external elevations to remove and replace existing cladding and fire barriers. Works needed to be completed with minimal disruption to hotel guests, staff, and operational flow.
