As part of a borough-wide regeneration scheme in South Tyneside, three 1960s tower blocks – Ellen, Wilkinson, and Monastery – underwent a £2.9m refurbishment to transform 132 flats into modern, energy-efficient homes.

The works included the installation of a full external insulation render wrap, insulation boarding, and new energy-efficient windows to dramatically improve comfort and performance.

To deliver the project safely and efficiently, contractors Vinci Construction UK selected Apollo Cradles to supply mast climbers, providing the ideal access solution to meet the scheme’s objectives.
