Tamworth Towers Refurbishment
Tamworth Towers in the Old Trafford district of Manchester were originally a group of seven high rise blocks built in the late 1960s as replacements for inferior Victorian housing.
As part of a regeneration of the area, four of the towers were demolished and the remaining three would form part of an £8.5m sustainable refurbishment and development scheme.
This refurbishment would involve the fitment of new external cladding, weather protection and external wall insulation as well as the installation of energy-efficient glazing, to improve both the efficiency and appearance of the buildings.
For this project, mast climbers supplied by Apollo were chosen as the most effective solution in achieving the aims within the set timescale.
